Moment of Gold

Moment of Gold

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

A moment of gold
Planted itself in the sky
One morning.
It was mine to have, to take.
I had a chance to seize it.
Tear off it's mask
And let the reward be revealed.
Once in hand,
I could pass it to my parents.
Feeling glorified,
Saying: "Are you satisfied?"
It was an opportunity I deserved.
Much more than any other,
If not this one.
I would still be
Stuck with nothing.
