Branches

Branches

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Spring.
A luscious season.
Branches steadily thawing from winter.
Leaves thrilled to
Be re-growing anew.

Summer.
A joyous season.
Branches newly barked.
Leaves simply
Radiant, alive.

Fall.
A relaxing season.
Branches unwinding from such heat.
Leaves turned such delicious colors.
Everything vibrant, energetic.

Winter.
A silent and torturous season.
Branches beginning to weigh down.
Leaves falling far the ground below.
Everything so dead, yet so at peace.

I loved this, you captured the essence of the seasons so elegantly and simply. The last line was my favorite because of how much truth it speaks. Winter is a time of sleep, where everything dies, but only to be re-born again come spring. Beautiful done.

I love the combination of all seasons, and all their traits, in one very realistic and perfect poem:3 Great write!
