Up Before Dawn (a Christmas poem)A Poem by I Am Svetlana
I'm up before dawn
On Christmas Day. An eerie thing cause I never heard The arrival of Santa's sleigh. If his reindeer were horses, I bet they would neigh. I'm up before dawn On Christmas Day. Quite true, but due to tiredness, I don't have much to say. Too bad our late-night milk & cookies Couldn't be enough to make Santa stay. I'm up before dawn On Christmas Day. Every kid waking up, Wondering what Santa brought, hey? If only everyone could appreciate Such a giving, laid back holiday. Gather round the fire, Perhaps we shall see Santa someday. © 2013 I Am SvetlanaAuthor's Note
