Up Before Dawn (a Christmas poem)

Up Before Dawn (a Christmas poem)

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I'm up before dawn
On Christmas Day.
An eerie thing cause I never heard
The arrival of Santa's sleigh.
If his reindeer were horses,
I bet they would neigh.

I'm up before dawn
On Christmas Day.
Quite true, but due to tiredness,
I don't have much to say.
Too bad our late-night milk & cookies
Couldn't be enough to make Santa stay.

I'm up before dawn
On Christmas Day.
Every kid waking up,
Wondering what Santa brought, hey?
If only everyone could appreciate
Such a giving, laid back holiday.
Gather round the fire,
Perhaps we shall see Santa someday.

I Am Svetlana
I've honestly never written a holiday poem before, so here's one I thought of this morning when I couldn't sleep :/

Santa...he is one slick guy isnt he lol...But I agree, if only everyone would appreciate the holiday, not everyone has money and not everyone will receive material gifts but the greatest gift is love, a simple smile can make someones day...Merry Christmas!
