The Last Letter

The Last Letter

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Ignore the last letter I sent you.
I'd really rather you didn't
Try to find me.
I may have missed you once
At first, but lately
I enjoy the solitude of being lost.

What made me quiver
Was writing my location onto paper.
It scared me, for once in my life.
Soon after, I'd realize that
I made a mistake.
I figured I could stay lost
And live happy, too.
No longer did I wish to be found.

Please, ignore the last letter I sent you.
Trust me, it's for the best.
I made a silly mistake and
I'd much rather stay lost.

Really nice poetry. Loved it.

I can imagine someone running away, but still sending letters back to their loved one. In a glimpse of sanity or insanity they write where they are onto the paper, as if to say, "come get me, I don't want to be lost anymore."
After some thought, they a start to write again, fear piercing their mind at the thought of being found.
This is what they come up with.
Well written and mysterious. Well done. ^^
