Learning to Trust a BulletA Poem by I Am Svetlana
We live in stray thoughts
As we place the gun barrel to our heads. Pull the trigger and it'll all be over. Quick, like a snap! I try to think of A bullet pushing through my skull, my brain. Just trying to get to the other side. Is this how it was meant to be? Perhaps, I could trust the bullet. Whispering to it before Ever laying a finger on the trigger. Only then, would it still try to hurt me? But it's silly of me, right? Thinking I could manipulate such a thing like a bullet? An object made to kill. As I know it thirsts for blood. In the end, Could anyone put their trust in a bullet? Could it perhaps be a friend? Or would it simply stick to orders given by the gun? © 2014 I Am SvetlanaReviews
