Learning to Trust a Bullet

Learning to Trust a Bullet

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

We live in stray thoughts
As we place the gun barrel to our heads.
Pull the trigger and it'll all be over.
Quick, like a snap!

I try to think of
A bullet pushing through my skull, my brain.
Just trying to get to the other side.
Is this how it was meant to be?

Perhaps, I could trust the bullet.
Whispering to it before
Ever laying a finger on the trigger.
Only then, would it still try to hurt me?

But it's silly of me, right?
Thinking I could manipulate such a thing like a bullet?
An object made to kill.
As I know it thirsts for blood.

In the end,
Could anyone put their trust in a bullet?
Could it perhaps be a friend?
Or would it simply stick to orders given by the gun?

The bullet the gun the trigger nothing happens without the finger on it! You can always trust the bullet to do its job if you want it to! Very good writing enjoyed this!

I believe the bullet would not budge in its teachings to take the order from the gun and kill where its master aims.
I like this write, the questions and scenario. Well done. ^^

I once wrote something with a suicidal concept like this. But I know this is only a metaphor of something. The last part answered all the questions in the whole piece-- We should never trust a bullet because it only follows the order given by the gun.

Some thoughts to ponder here, Svetlana. Thanks for sharing your poem.
