Talks With Statues

Talks With Statues

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

The statues.

They were life-size,

Life-like.

Carved from stone by such masters.

They fought hard while cheering

and Kept away the evil.

They always stood tall, side by side,

As victory was always deserved.

Whenever I felt alone,

I would talk to them.

Share my story, my life.

Even their tears were made of stone!

The statues.

They would help me understand.

Our life was but a choice and

Love was never guaranteed.
