The Grieving Man

The Grieving Man

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

In the days that followed,

A grieving man

Feasted his eyes

On female beauty.

I didn't like the way

He learned of a girl he had never met.

A girl who once got lost.

The silence was unsatisfying,

But I did not see his sadness.

I tried to picture the life,

But the opportunity was lost.
