Baby, Goodbye

Baby, Goodbye

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Eyes blistering.

No final embrace.

I've been straying in shadows again.

Now that we can't be together,

Is it my turn to die?

Your voice, smell, presence

Surrounds and consumes me.

I was told to "stay away",

But I smiled

Every time you took me there.

Once more I'll say my goodbye.

Baby, goodbye.
