"Happily Ever After"

"Happily Ever After"

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I saw the red paint

On the stairs...

"It can't end like this."

But I didn't have a choice.

We were once

Two currents.

But soon, you

Excavated our bond.

Suppose I do

Something unforgivable?

Closing my eyes,

I offer up a silent prayer.

No one had the idea

I'm on a roller coaster.

All eyes turn,

Dusted with gray.

Stone-cold vision,

We need not wait.

It's a given, I killed

And eligible bachelor.

My mind launches

Like a ripple in a pond.

Peeking through my lashes,

I whisper:

"Happily Ever After."
