Float Away

Float Away

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

They smiled,
Without protest on their tongues.
Deep down,
I knew they had been thinking
About living like the lilies.
They had no shelter.
They had no love.
All they continued to search for
Was the green face.
Standing before them,
Could I forget myself?
All I had to do
Was rise
And float away.
