The Woman's Life

The Woman's Life

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

After a long day,
Disgust argued in my stomach.
A fountain, rising and falling.
Then I sat down and thought.
her beauty and embarrassment struggled together,
But we all knew that neither could win.
I felt something, I felt nothing.
I questioned for a moment if she loved her life.

After constant wandering,
I found her in a woman's bathroom.
Gave her a white flower,
Just to see her smile.
For the sake of my solitude,
That's all I felt I could do.

Hoping to make her forget about rebellion.
Thinking about from past to the future.
Make her look at the light,
Told her to leap into it
And hold on.
I reminded her that there was
No battle against the sea.
