What We All Become

What We All Become

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

They should put me
In a casket,
So the world will see
Where I ended up.
If they kept my ashes,
Would they be taken care of?
Who would spread them around?
In the end,
We all become memories.
No more bleeding.
No more breathing.
Just a frozen body,
Then turned into ashes.
Buried deep within
The soggy ground.
That's what we all
Become.
