A Billion Bumblebees

A Billion Bumblebees

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Trying to sleep in strange beds.
Waiting for the perfect moment.
I wonder what it's like
To ease the stress.

For the rest of us,
Our minds turned to rampage.
Almost always,
The world stopped searching.

I wish I knew the details.
The narrow span of days between.
But in my head
Were a billion bumblebees.

I know how it feels like to have restless nights; not very pleasant. Every stanza in that poem really moved me. I knew that I could relate. I wish you peace and ease of mind.

I got the feel that the writer wishes they were someone else most times and would welcome the assumed peace that others seem to enjoy but I dont know if the grass is greener. If we walk a mile in their shoes - is a common remark - I sure wouldnt like to have a billion bumblebees in my head though, the big one the size of my brain is one too many already
I like your style Svetlana
