The Deep Freeze

The Deep Freeze

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Everyone is frozen
In a blank space of time.
Dirt goes undisturbed,
Like everything is normal.
My time of being beside
A living, breathing human
Has gone.
I hope you forgive me
For refusing to know
That this would perhaps be
Our end, our last time.

Breathtaking. I'm at a loss for words.

My only note would be to consider not always capitalizing every beginning word in a line (such as if it's a continuing thought or "sentence"). I say this because instinctual it makes me think that the two lines are separate and divided rather than whole and part of the same string.
