Losing Grip

Losing Grip

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I'm losing grip again.
Falling off the deep end,
through sand tiles.
How can I take on the world
when every day is
dimming my sparkle?
I can't go all the way home
when I'm already
far enough gone.
There's no use in
singing a beautiful song
when I stand on faulty ground.
Little by little,
nothing felt right.
This was no routine.
I won't stay here, draining,
but I could never again
make it down.
Barely thinking,
I dropped like concrete.
Then I realized,
I would never make it home.
