Brain Blank

Brain Blank

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Another brain blank
and my mind was gone.
I never had
a firm cell in my body.
Falling from euphoria
onto broken concrete.
Stuck forever inside
these white plastered walls.
I was a tougher girl
back then, but now
I'm no good.

I used to do
a butterfly dance,
but now I'm exiled.
Could I ever
shift into reverse?
Tugged by gravity,
I remain hopeful.
Tumbling through space,
absorbing sensation.
I turned back into
a pumpkin.
