Not All of Me

Not All of Me

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

If you knew the truth,
I wouldn't exactly
make you proud of me.

I often laughed
like a lunatic
as I saw glass under rain.

I had better moments
when seeing stones magnified
all the way to Heaven.

I wasn't exactly a lady.
"Watch your back, Barbie doll."
It didn't happen like that.

Under perfect skies,
I held a foul temper
along with disappointing returns.

Believe me,
not all of me
makes you glow

all over.

Life sometimes is full of disappointing returns.... what is important is to keep plugging along and figure out how to change that into good fortunes. Good work Svetlana!
