Angel of Bones

Angel of Bones

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Fattened on those scraps,
there's endless things to dread.
Mind and heart
weighing you down.

Just sit and think.
Reject food all you want
but you could die
at any moment.

Please, give food
a simple chance.
I know it's not easy.
Just try and
see how it works.

You don't want to be
an angel of bones,
trust me
I know.

This is sad and true, the mental and medical departments still aren't fully teaching/warning people about Anorexia/Bulimia, people with these conditions must go through some traumatic encounters. Brave people, they are.

A touching piece. I think you hit the heartstrings that consider anorexia a horribly sad sickness. I hope the sad angel in the end can become more healthy. It encourages me not to be that way as I once was.
