Shrinking

Shrinking

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

You are something
I drag behind me.
Dull weight.
Making my heart shrink.
It's never been
so small.

Sweeping up leaves
in the lost languages.
Love is strange.
Somehow, I am
never packed.

Before the night is over,
you take over my brain.
You light my flame
with your mind
and I am
shrinking

all over again...
