Someone Like Me

How do you
fall in love
with someone like me?

My mind is dark.
My body, constantly tired.
My eyes, no longer sparkling.
My hair, messy & greasy.

I'm a mess.
When I drink,
I go too far.
Don't know my limit.
Too numb.
Too emotional.

I always say:
"You don't deserve
someone like me."

But all you say is:
"Don't worry,
I love you anyway."

Always.

i really enjoy the simplistic structure of this ink...yet
this is woven with honest, and unique imagery that i can relate to.
