Become Literature

Become Literature

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

As I stared into
the traces of clouds,
I suddenly wished to become literature.
To soar beyond blank pages.
To kiss readers with my words.

I'd be so calm around the edges,
like a rowboat under a blue sky.
Then from page to page,
I'd burst into my element.
Leaving readers to fall apart,
but come back together.

Please, tell me
I'm making some sense
in wanting to
become literature.
