Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I watch the sea
kiss the sand
as I lay on the beach.
Feeling the sun rays
caress my skin.
"We're free."
I whisper to the wind,
dreaming of you.
Wishing you were here.
Lately, they sky
is where you reside.
I speak to it everyday,
waiting for a reply.
So far, God has kept me
waiting.

Beautiful. Emotional. Inspired by some form of grief I am gathering. This is very well written, and I love the metaphors you've used. Well done.

We all will have to wait until it is Time to get it. Things will happen when they are supposed to happen. All we can do is wait. A good write. :)
