Blank Notebook Woman

Blank Notebook Woman

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

The lake, almost frozen.
She holds a blank notebook to her chest,
but I already understand the words
she intends to write down.

She refuses to look me in the face.

There was venom.
That, I would never forget.
I know they expressed their love
against those walls,
but she never speaks of her beloved.

Her soul slowly evaporating,
climbing towards the atmosphere like fire.

Always, til this day...
the heart in my chest stayed silent.
