Pain & Pleasure

Pain & Pleasure

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

What have you learned from pain?
Let it hurt.
Let it bleed.
Hope for forgiveness.
This is the time,
we have to both be brave
(in desperate need)
in order to feel content.

What have you learned from pleasure?
I have faith in our love
just by the way I look at you.
Always thankful to be touching you
and a day without...
isn't a day worth living for.
Praying that after each kiss,
my name remains on your lips
laced with desire.

What have you learned from pain?
What have you learned from pleasure?
The awful truth of it all...
the simplest of love.

A great piece from you..
you have worded beautifully the ideas of equilibrium by using metaphor of pain and pleasure in love. Nice job Svetlana. I look forward such writings from you.
