Pink Rose

Pink Rose

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I am the one that fights unarmed.
It was just a look to find a boy.

Inhale my aroma...

An all-consuming message that
he would certainly become lost
within the taste of our sweet breath
like a late afternoon.

Lost in each other,
he lay with his devilish ways.
The silent conversation between our bodies
too far from the stars.

He is all I see...
a fear that manifests itself
when your lips are silent.

I became the pink rose
which one might leave behind
on the battlefield.

Not sure how I feel about this, it has a certain sadness about it but again it's quite lovely too.
