This Kind of Perfection

This Kind of Perfection

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

As being a writer,
we take words
and give them power.
Uncovering the
veil of reality
which was once
killed by a typewriter.

We fight for breath
in the silent house,
turning ourselves into
beautiful freaks.
The art of self-destruction.
Only writers can achieve
this kind of perfection.
Not a word wasted
until the last cruel one
was written.

I like the idea of writers being beautiful freaks but I'm not sure about self-destruction - more like self-preservation :) This was an interesting read.
