maybe we can fall in love,
instead of dreaming about
what could've been between us.

share stories over coffee & doughnuts,
instead of bar hopping, ending up between sheets
and forgetting what happened last night.

We should take a walk someday,
along a silent creek,
instead of getting lost within
the obnoxious crowds of rich folks.

We should take a walk someday,
enjoy each others awkward company,
instead of having to live
in such a sheltered society.

We should take a walk someday,
maybe we can fall in love,
instead of dreaming about
