Names on the Tongue

Names on the Tongue

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Just another struggle,
tasting your name
on such quiet nights.

I want to love you
in ways I never thought
of loving anyone.

I am ready to
learn every lesson,
until there's nothing left.

Little did I know,
you held my name
upon your tongue too.

Author's Note

I Am Svetlana
Who's name continues to lie on your tongue at night?
