Psychological Warfare

Psychological Warfare

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

In the palace of peace,
I silently lick the blade.
I taste the blood.

They never knew I was
sinking the knife in deep,
draining my veins.

Held close by invisible arms
when I'm near the edge of death.
Soon, I will cease to exit.

Heart incomplete...

I tried to protect my naked soul
from everything I thought
I could outrun.

I seek to know
a way to make it through
such psychological warfare.
