Bottle Ache

Bottle Ache

A Poem by I Am Svetlana
"

Life driven by alcohol.

"
Thankfully,
we wasted time
gulping whiskey
from shot glasses.

If we happen
to get drunk,
let's go looking
for frogs at the pond.

The vision is still clear.
It still hurts a bit.

It's unrealistic...
how we had such plans,
yet we're still humans living today
due to our constant ache

for a bottle which
always welcomed us
with an unsealed cap.
