Equal Love

Equal Love

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I walked through crumbled cities,
scattering rose petals
to drown out these haunting shadows.
This is where the wild things are
and if I am quiet enough,
I will discover why love became war.

I'm a pretty soul
who left a message for old shadows.
Let's work together
instead of against each other
and we'll be able to crawl through.
You are the ending to my beginning,
turning dreams into reality.

One day, love will no longer become war.
It will become a love that is equal.
