The pen & I, we've always been friends in secret.

It's truly astounding
as right before dawn,
I hold such creativity
in my fingertips.
The constant flow
of my paper soul
becoming so
utterly exposed.
It's as if
a pen and I
have connected minds
and it comes to
understand the whispers
of my heart.
This pen and I,
we've always been
friends in secret,
yet it's always known
I've been aching
to be heard.
The pen alone
has helped me connect
my footsteps
and led me
far above the world.
