Until the Day

Until the Day

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

When hardship comes early,
I always give love away
with my electric tongue.
May the sadness of the world
tear one page
from a hundred books
if lust becomes too strong.
There is so much
I buried deep within me,
yet I know
I can endure anything.
In due time,
we must dream
of our kisses to come.
The feel of your breath
on my skin.
Darling, we must
never stop dreaming
so I can keep living.
Since there is no equation,
no one will understand
why I've stayed
until the day you die.
