The Real 'You'

The Real 'You'

A Poem by I Am Svetlana
"

Eventually, the world will see who you really are.

"
The atmosphere has changed.
There is something different between us.
Desperate truths now uncovered.
You finally show your true colors
and I find you so revolting.

Why have you hidden for so long?

So pretty on the outside,
but constantly rotting inside.
Makeup can't save you anymore,
soon everyone will see.
But I will
tell you some things:

I will make it through.
I will keep my head up
because I will remind myself
that you'll be the one
who dies and
rots alone!

A good reflective and poetic expression that show, you only get to know people as well as they allow you, unless you have a gift of seeing things beneath the surface.
