Shades of Grey

I'm ashamed to say
I still have shades of grey
wrapped across my heart.

Why must it be like this?

I'm ashamed to say
some scars remain
close to my heart.

Will it always be like this?

But I stand to say
I'm not afraid of grey
because it's been healing me,

To remind me
that I'll soon see
better days.
