Last Goodbye

Last Goodbye

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Give me a kiss
before you leave,
so I know I'm worth
a simple goodbye.

I'll keep the house clean,
I'll keep my mind busy.
Then I'll read by the window
until you return.

I won't cry.
I won't scream.
No matter how long
you happen to be away.

I'll be just fine,
as long as you show me
I'm worth
your last goodbye.

A interesting poem my friend. Deserving a kiss and worth the goodbye. A old fashion feel to the words. Left me with something to think about. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This is sweet. :)
Its like a story of a couple man goes to work, woman tried to keep herself busy until he gets home, but misses him dearly and awaits his return :)
