Shelter

Shelter

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Day after day,
I shelter myself because
there is something
comforting in heartache.
Somehow, I remain so open
and aware
of what's going on.

Until the road gets rocky...
I fail to see
the naked truth,
thus choosing to believe
covered lies.
Lies tie into Devils plans.

Even when I feel this way,
I still believe in love
and that one day,
caterpillars become butterflies.

I do like the ending a lot.
"Even when I feel this way,
I still believe in love
and that one day,
caterpillars become butterflies."
The above lines. A wish for the most of us. I liked the flow of thoughts leading to the strong ending. Thank you my friend for sharing the excellent poetry.

Quite beautiful, a little bit sad but uplifting and positive as well.
Iv always liked your writing.
This has depth and great meaning to it.
I admit I didn't fully grasp what the poem was about, but none the less I enjoyed it.
Keep writing hun :)
