Porcelain Doll

Porcelain Doll

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I am the porcelain doll
made of treasured glass.
You put me on your shelf
just for show.
I'm always prepared
for my close-up,
leaving the world speechless
when they admire my beauty.

I am the porcelain doll
dressed in rarest lace.
An outfit sewn together
by a handy maker
with an eye for design.
Hold me, cradle me.
But if you drop me,
it's all over.

I am the porcelain doll
you let crash to the floor.
I lay in shatters upon tile,
making you weep endlessly.
This is similar to Humpty-Dumpty,
any assumption why?
Once I fall, it's beyond impossible
to piece me back together again.

Wow! This blew me away girl! This is by far my most treasured to read now. I actually started making dolls a few years ago and over the years I have only gotten better. This makes me want to make one inspired by you! This really inspired me to come back. Screw being away! Karma is back!
