Dirt Road to Paradise

Dirt Road to Paradise

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

In this day

She pretended.

She sold her silver car

And thew away her golden keys.

Every mirror was broken, shattered.

There was no image left.

She strolled along

A dirt road to nowhere.

At the end of that road

Was a paradise in which she could hide.

I know the feeling..looking for that little paradise myself

This poem makes me wonder what this woman is hiding from and why. It is a bit mysterious and the imagery allows me to picture a woman walking ways from her car throwing the keys into a grassy field and slow staggering down the road.

Trust me, we all wish we could hide at times.. right now, I am feeling I might just join her.. even if it's just for a few hours.. Nice work, short, direct and enough visuals to take the reader on the trip with you..
