Self-Medication

Self-Medication

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

One day,

The kid kicked and beat the dog.

Someone thought:

"Well, what if we beat the kid?"

Would that change his ways?

And so the kid was beat for every night

For fourteen days.

After that,

The boy promised he would kick and beat the dog

No longer.

Days passed

The old dog healed

And the boy was sore.

For his dog abuse days were over.

After getting a taste of his own

Medicine.

I just think reading this poem would keep the kid from ever beating the dog again!
