Dreams to Nothing

Dreams to Nothing

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I burnt your dreams

From the heavenous, cloudy skies.

They crumpled into crimson shadows

And fell to the pavement.

I tore the moon from the sky above

To light the shredded remains.

I’m devouring gold

As you stare into the dark.

Shed the distant light upon your face

And see the truth placed in front.

My bed is filled with your millions

Of endless lies from beneath your skin.

This is how I hurt you in return.

I steal your dreams

And burn them to nothing.

A compelling poem with flowing imagery. Poetic vengeance at its best.

A sad, and a bit of dark poem! I love the last stanza, 'I steal your dreams, And burn them to nothing.', its really cool and chilly, but thats what i love of this poem! Also, the descriptions in the first stanzas, its really addictive to the poem!
Nice Written!
