Just Me and Dead End

Just Me and Dead End

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

The day I wrote home,

I was on my way to the dead end road.

The road that led to nowhere.

Where I would end up nowhere

Get nowhere.

I would be alone and on my own.

No one else here.

Just me.

I need no water or food.

I can survive out here.

With no one here

Just me.

Short and simple. I understand the emotion behind these words quite well, and that emotion is much more complex. In fact, this instantly reminded me of a poem of my own.

Oddly enough, it was the title that caught my eye, as I'm listening to a song with a theme comparable to it.

I enjoyed this.
