I never expected us to rot

But I guess that's what has occured.

You were the greatest at times,

The worst at others.

But we somehow stuck it out

Until I was finally through.

After awhile of time

I broke.

I couldn't handle what you had.

I didn't want to run

But it seemed like the best option.

So I ran on and on.

Away from you.

Until you disappeared

And I forgot about you.
