No-Heart Syndrome

No-Heart Syndrome

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Is it possible

To die from

Lacking a heart?

Would it be better

To live without one?

Would the days pass quicker?

The nights roll on longer?

I haven't a clue of whether

I possess a hear or not.

You might as well diagnose me

With no-heart syndrome.

I lack certain feelings

But am still able to care.

My eyes sparkle

At the sght of the lightest snowfall.

I may seem like I'm blabbing

But all I have

Is no-heart syndrome.

It would seem these days many live without a heart some to protect themselves from rejection and pain, others because they are callous shallow souls. We all have thought in time of pain of the Tina Turner song Whats love got to do with it when she says - what use a heart when a heart can be broken - profound and true but without that pain we would not grow stronger and learn from the past. Beautiful poem great use of emotion, couple of typos but overall I loved it, keep em' coming
