Give me the understanding I need

In order to reach out.

Give me the voice I need

In order to speak out.

Give me the tools I need

To be the ideal person.

Among all of the aliens

And the unknowns.

Love this poem. Mostly because I relate. But the unexpected turn from the rhythm and context at the end shines new light into every previous line. Really, really like the "stranger in a strange land" accomplishment of this piece...
