Back to the Past

Back to the Past

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Many times I wish I hadn’t
Gone back to my past.
Back to who I was.
Who I used to be.
But as that blade reached contact with my skin.
I felt real.
Alive.
Finally visible to air.
I felt no regret.
No hearts were broken.
No shattered glass been seen or heard.
I felt my dreams disappear.
Everything seemed to stop.
The world was finally still.
For once, I was in control.
Not anyone else.
Just me and my control.
A control to slowly
Destroy myself.

It's really sad, but it's beautiful that way.

'For once, I was in control.
Not anyone else.
Just me and my control.
A control to slowly
Destroy myself. '

That's my favourite part, to me it holds the most emotion out of the piece. I love it :)

Is this about susiside? There's lots of people writing about that. It's very popular. Perhaps the best topic in here?
