Affection

Affection

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

What’s the point in winning affection
When I know I won’t get it?
It’s you I want the attention from
But I’ll be lucky if I even get a decent conversation.

Things so hectic around us
You’re never around.
I just give up and don’t bother trying anymore.
There’s no use.

I know I’m not good enough
For your affection.
There’s no use anymore.
So I give up trying.

J.
Very to the point. Words in which I can relate, very much so.
