We can pretend to fall in love

I thought I loved you,

But I guess I was wrong.

As always,
I fell for the wrong guy.

How I wish I could forget you

Like the others.

But damn,

You had the perfect hold on me.

I couldn’t let you go.

The world thought we were in love,

But they couldn’t see the damage underneath.

Let’s take a chance and

Try again.

This time,

We’ll make it work.

Yes, I fell in love

And I know I can make you stay.

Just give me the chance

To make it right with us.
