My Dawn Angel

As I slept,

I met an angel.

Her name she said, was Dawn.

Hair dark as night.

Pale skin like a well-sheltered vampire.

She guided me

And taught me all the new.

Never leaving my side.

Standing there with an irresistible smile.

At that moment I realized:

She was all I wanted.

All I needed to survive and move forward.

With her,

I wound never lose.

I would always be strong

And refuse to break.

Without her,

I would be nothing.

Since that dream,

I am in love.

With her.

Dawn.

I love the imagery and flow of your free verse, how each line feeds effortlessly into the next, allowing/inviting the reader to join you within the dream that you share.

Very nicely done.

I think I have spotted a small nit... in the line 'I wound never lose.' did you intend to say would? or could? Just a personal thought, feel free to ignore if you wish.
