It states wonderfully what is perhaps the 800-pound gorilla in the room for all writers; that we have these little snatches of epiphany which we try to weave into a coherent whole, yet the universe--the one of thought, belief, and idea as well as the physical one-- is just too large, too incomprehensible for us to wrestle to the grounds. This is actually a pretty damn big thought, and very nicely expressed.
It's not that you are imitating her, but you've obviously studied Emily Dickinson - in fact you've mentioned her to me - and her ability to express much in little. It give you a big presence here. I'm fond of your work, and of this poem a great deal.
... ah ... that's what i call the sheer magic of poetry ... the sheer radiance of poetic thought and philosophy ... the wisdom in a poet's pen ... amazing ... without that feeling ... without that quintessential thirst for that thought ... there'd be no poetry ... and no expression ... and nothing really ... not even art, politics or religion ... glad you featured this and i got to read these ... immensely and intensely inspiring (less than twenty) words ... awesome ... and god bless the pea ... :) ...
Very big for such a little thought! It always amazes me when people can write so few lines and yet make it mean so much. You made it to the finalists in my conest "Clarity", but I think this would go better in my ext contest. This was excellent!
